Looks like a lily... smells like a lily

Post by PeggyC »

but its a crinum lily from the amaryllis family. I had no idea what they were when I moved in (I have about 10 clumps in different places in the yard) and imagine my surprise when they bloomed with these "lilies" that smell so fragrant!! Guess they are very common here in Texas.

Pretty white "lily" there, Peg!

This Texas gardening thing is going to be a whole new learning experience, isn't it? What an adventure! :D

I've heard of crinum lilies... very pretty, and it's great that they are fragrant! I've read that they aren't hardy enough to grow up here.
