Do you have Ebb Tide?

Post by Midnight Reiter Too »

I couldn't help myself! It's snowing like crazy and only three degrees out there. I just ordered 'Ebb Tide' for my garden. Does anyone else have this rose?

That question got no response, so I'll try this one. Do you think 'Ebb Tide' is pretty? My husband thinks it's gorgeous, but my youngest daughter isn't so sure.

Do you like dark purple roses?

Is that the one that is one the cover of the Wayside catalog?

If it is, I will say it caught my eye and gave it a moments consideration before I reminded myself of my "no more roses" statement I made several months ago!!

I think it is fairly new on the market so nobody here may have it yet.

It was new in 2006. Rose Night Owl is on the Wayside Gardens catalog. Ebb Tide has fully double 5-inch blooms. I'm really a novice at growing roses, but have to give it a try.http://www.waysidegardens.com/webapp/wc ... erCode=T3H[/url]

I got tired of the blackspot and mildew problems, along with the Japanese Beetles that would devour them. So if I were to get any, it would be the Knockout Roses they are very vigorous and require no special pruning.

My Dh is really big on the purple ones though!
