My Dad bought this rose in 1933

He died in 1947 he was 46. When I got married I took this climbing rose with me to our new house and here it is still blooming.Its a very pale pink and the best thing about it is its on its own roots so when it throws an underground shoot its flowers are the same as the Mother plant.

Very nice! And I love the history too... do you know the name of it? Certainly must be a hardy one to be around this long... though I'm sure you give it special attention. Own root is the best in my book too.
