I just ordered Gertrude Jekyll for one of the few sunny spots I have in the front yard and Princess Alexandra of Kent for a large container in the back yard.
Any thoughts on these two....since I've already went and done it!

Re: David Austin roses
Gertrude Jekyll is stunning specially when it get big.
I have given up on Austin and other sort of old or old roses for now.
Planted 3 Austin roses as a hedge August 2009... then we got a very cold winther and they died
Planted 3 of the same the next year but in July.. heck got 4 months of darn cold winther.. they died
Planted one antique rose one of the first days in May last year and the winther looked normal until late February... it is dead
Not a word about roses from me
