Geranium (Pelargonium)

Post by Midnight Reiter Too »

I bought five big pots of geraniums for my empty containers. The front yard will have three red ones and the patio in the back will get the rose ones with green dracaena spikes in the center.

I guess everyone is busy outdoors now. I hope I get an opportunity to do that tomorrow.

Today I went hog wild and bought a whole lot of Million Bells (calibrachoa) plants, a couple of false dracaena, and two perennials.

One of the Million Bells plants is in a hanging basket. It's called "Painted Coral." I also got small pots of coral pink, cream with eye, and light blue.

 I poured vinegar on the surrounding weeds. When they die I can take photos.

Great midnight it will be great to have someone to talk to about the containuer gardening. I am just starting to pull my tropicals out of hibernation. I use foilage more than flowers for my pots. I use Cannas and Elephant Ears for thrillers. I use the bold leaf cannas.

I found something last week that I think will look good as a thriller. It is Calthea Dottie. I am thinking of putting purple passion as filler around this one. I am thinking maybe breaking from the norm and add some pink flowers. :D

I don't have any pots with thrillers, fillers and spillers this year. But some of the geraniums have thrillers.
Here is the 'Callie™ Painted Coral' hanging basket:

Wow! Very pretty! I've never in my life planted a canna.
