Great picture though. The focus looks like it zoned in on the top of the sunflower seeds. Looks like a chipping sparrow? I love your pictures Peg!!

 Your right Snow! The camera did focus on the seeds and the cardinal is actually sitting behind them. This is the first I've seen of the chipping sparrow this year. Last year, whenever I worked in the hosta beds, I had a pair that would come and hang out with me. :P

They are the cutest little guys - with a habit of nesting right over roads - have you ever noticed that? lol - I enjoy having them arrive in spring.

Peg, if you aren't please with a pic like this one, I'm definitely hanging up my camera!!! I think it is a great pic!
Before criticizing someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them you will be a mile away and have their shoes!

Perf lisen to the Olf Coot

THERE IS NOT ONE THING WRONG WITH THAT PICTURE. How often do you "capture" (2) birds with one shot and have BOTH of them in SHARP focus. You're too hard on yourself. WE LOVE your BIrd Pictures...

As for the Chirping Sparrow, they have only been showing up here in ones and twos at a time. Now they are really coming in. You rendition of its color is perfect. O.C. loves that little rust stripe that runs down the middle of his head. Makes him real special like the white stripe around the eye of the Carolina wren...

GOOD PICTURE...............

That Funny and Friendly Old Coot STILL looking for "SPRING" in just 3 more days
