I was trying to be quiet when I took the cardinals pic but they woke up and wanted me to feed them

Here is a shot of them right before they knew I was there.

It's amazing how these babies can turn into such pretty birds LOLOL!

Great shots! I'm suprised teh parents come back! I hear so often about abandonment <sp?> after humans find and get a near a nest!

I have never had that happen. I grew up on 10 acres, mostly wooded. Lots of birds nests. We always checked them out. Of course before we went close the parents were away gathering food or something. As long as you don't keep going there day after day they don't seem to mind. Ya just gotta be careful

I check the nests about once a week. And I always TRY and keep my distance, but it's hard with the cardinal as her nest is right by my driveway LOL.

My dad always taught us to respect the wild animales and how to treat them.
