The Squirrels are back

Post by oldcoot »

They stripped these two ears of corn in a matter of minutes. Even had a little fight about which ear each would get. Guess they have finally eaten up their horde of nuts.
Hope to get some picture of them doing this with the BIG lens..OC

Be Very Careful OC!

Mom fed them peanuts for while several years back. I remember being there a few times, when the darn thing (and I am serious here) would come to the patio door and stan up against it looking inside for her! He/she would stand them watching for her till she came out to give them peanuts! :D

THen there's Other thread about being thanked from overhead!

They and the doves

Post by oldcoot »

got all the seeds OC plantes this spring. SO far haven't bothered the plants. He almost panicked the oher day when he saw one in one of his Lilium pots, but as he continued to watch, what he was doing was BURYING some of the sunflower seeds from off the tays on his deck. SO FAR, OC has never had a problem wih them digging ujp any bulbs since he started planting them 6" deep.

OC Had a lot of Squirrel pictures he had not edited, and decided that this afternoon would be a great time to do it,

Enjoy, OC sure did.

God's critters

Post by oldcoot »

Was only 85* and partly cloudy yesterday and so the Squirrels were back in force......

I watched the little critter in the shade for quite a while. OC keeps all kinds of bird seed out on his deck, some in pie tins. He would run out into the sun, get a mouth full, and RUN back into the shade of OC's Pots. Missed the cutest one (don't we always) when I first spotted him, he was lying flat out, all four paws sticking out. Couldn't get the camera set up quick enough (always have big bertha on a tripod) but did get these.

OC saying please enjoy, he sure did.............

OC's Squirrel for Tuesday

Post by oldcoot »

Hungry little bugger isn't he. The picture of the hurt Sqiirrel, should have left that little lady alone- got a nice bite out of it, had Bertha's whole 500 mm in use and the tree was a good 10 yards back in the woods behind OC's back Yard fence. Took a lot of editing to save this one picture.

THE second one shows one agile little rascal ...
