I've had the squirrels throw acorns at me before but I never, ever thought I would have this unique experience. I was pulling a few weeds in one of the hosta beds and I suddenly felt water dripping and splattering on me. I looked up to find the source. There was a squirrel on the side of the tree.
That's one squirrel that definitely would be ending up in some biscuits and gravy just as soon as squirrel season started if that had happen to me. Thank you for sharing; I think you'll be making a LOT of people chuckle w/ that one.
"There is no more fatal blunderer than he who consumes the greater part of his life getting his living,"
"Live each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influences of each." Thoreau
I know, it's pretty funny. Gross, but funny. There I was looking up at the leaves knowing that it hadn't rained and that it couldn't be water dripping off of the leaves. Then I saw the squirrel. No more Mrs. Niceguy! From now on, when Jasmine is jumping at the door because there is a squirrel on the deck, I'm not holding her collar and giving the squirrel a head start. They're on their own.
We have two just arrived and setting up home
