Need bug home info?

Does anyone know what would form this egg case (I think it is?) inside my lights in the garden? In the one pick you can see a worm. Not sure if they belong together, or if it's something to do with the 'what do you call them..........Earwigs. Saw one climbing down the piece of light sitting there in the pics after I knocked the top off. The little grey capsule looking things on the bottom left of the first pic and to the left on the second pic, were inside the light thingy.

In the first pic you can see something shiny on the end of it protruding out. It's the top of 3 capsules in the picture.
