Love your pictures! I've never seen babies before!

My Dad put up a flicker house in the backyard walnut tree when I was a youngin'. A screech owl moved in first....we hated to get her out, so instead of baby flickers, we had baby owls!

Thanks so much for sharing these!.....p

How neat! I had never seen a Northern Flicker until this year. We just moved to our new home 2 years ago and am seeing alot of birds I've never seen. The bad thing is we only have "baby" trees so nothing to really support alot of birds as far as nesting goes. Plus Blackie the cat seems to keep a close eye on them. He thinks the bird bath is his watering hole and not for the birds.
Thanks for sharing :D

Peg - amazing!!!! I love the Flickers - they feed on the ants in our lawn all summer and fall. You have the makings of a professional wildlife photographer, Ma'am
