That is something I see almost every time I look out my back window. I have a bird feeder out back that is shaped like that. It’s amazing what those little guys will do to get something to eat. My dad is making me a platform feeder which I think they will like much better. I know my birds will be happy if those little pigs stay off the tube feeder.

Thanks for the great picture OC! I make too much noise and can never get a good shot.

Cute OC :D Those darn squirrels have no shame. They come up on my front porch and steal the dogs food
I love letting the dogs out after them, boy can they move fast

:-? :-? :-? :-? will only give them another place to eat. OC has one and they LIVE in it now. (See below.)

I keep Safflower Seed in it and they have never touched it before, that was why I kept that feeder full, This year, with it being so hot and dry they sit in it under the shade of the top. Fooled OC

Enjoy these little tree Rodents. Last year OC only had two to feed. but this year they bring the whole family every meal. Can't put food out but once a day anymore. What you don't see in the group shot, is the one hanging down and three more chasing each other all OVER the deck.

I’m sure your right about just giving them another place to eat OC. But what’s a person to do. I have 5 that are here all the time and another couple that show up about once a day. We had 8 out back yesterday. The dog just sits and looks at them. I think he just can’t decide which one he should chase. He wouldn’t know what to do with one even if he got one.

We have a couple that keep us entertained. We named them Fat Eddy & Gray Bob. Both have nice pot bellies from eating out of all my feeders and the woodpecker suet!!

Have some that are very cool looking too. Dark fox squirrel body but smaller and white tails! Trying to get pics but they are really fast and a little skittish. They have just come out of the woods in the last 2 weeks. Someone told me a few years back there were some albinos, so I assume some breeding has gone on  and now the mix.

We've had one for the last 2 winters, then come summer, he's gone? Weird. He's the only one I've seen here in 24 years, except for one other that was run over and rescued by a friend about 12 years ago.

This guy semi-hybernates in the large tree out back and comes down in fair weather, or about every 10-14 days during the winter for feeder raiding.

One Thanksgiving, with every relative in my family here for lunch, a possum got in our Cajun Cooker (where Paul had just smoked two big turkeys) and was hanging down the inside of the cooker in the same position that squirrel is in...hanging on by his back feet.

The possum was nibbling on tiny bites of meat and drippings in the water pan. WHAT A MESS!

Ann

Seems all of us have the same problem !!!

SINCE WE ALL FEED the birds, I guess we are stuck with them. I will have them until about labor day when the trees put out their hoard of acorns, which I FIND PLANTED EVERY WHERE.....

Hope you enjoy them. If OC feeds them they MUST pose for him........................
