My son found 2 of these in the yard today. Anyone know what it is?

It looks like the lid to a jar. Must be a good sized jar since you have it sized up next to an Imperial Moth :)

What a cool looking butterfly/moth. It's looks like a painted watercolor, also kind of looks like it's been tie-dyed! :D
