We've been lucky enough to have this fella, plus another male and female for two years now.

I just saw 2 of these in Morrison, Il.! Thanks for the pic. I forgot to tell Linda P. about it and getting the name of the bird. I did tell the park ranger guy about seeing them, and he id it for us. Very cool! I have never seen a bird this blue.

OMGOSH! I took this picture back on June 5th and dumped in with the bluebirds without enlarging, assuming it was an Eastern Bluebird, b/c we'd had one we found dead the few days before that. I can't believe it's an Indigo! I haven't seen one in our yard since about 18 years ago or so!

I love your picture though! It was here and gone so quickly, I didn't have time to adjust for the distance :(

They are pretty birds! We have some here, don't see them a lot, but once in a while.

Nice pics. Beautiful bird. I'll have to look closer here. I had been seeing bluish birds that seemed too blue to be just blue birds, although I don't know a thing about birds....but I'm gonna look! :D

Jane, I think yours is maybe a Blue Grosbeak. I have one that looks like that comes everyonce in awhile to feed. We have the Blue Indigo's here too, but they seem to stay down where it is a little secluded by thicker wooded area.

They are both beautiful birds. Indigos appear very irridescent.
