Racoons- the bandits

Post by Zack »

I spend much of my time camping & fishing this summer. Have a tent set up within distance to return to water the Hostas, check mail, pay bill-etc. Everywhere I go I meet the "bandit". Under my tent, in my garden and on the Interstate. I do not feed them, am afraid of rabies, and luv the creatures. What does a person do? It seems that if you "chase" them away they become your "buddies". It appears to me that they love "gentle" people. O yes then there is is opossum. Should I just leave it up to the Zack

I don't know an answer to your question, but I do know my mother and aunt use chlorax poured on the trash barrels to keep the buggers out on trash pickup day when they put their bags out. Maybe spraying an area around where you are with it?
