I saw a bluebird for the first time last year in a blur as I was driving down a country road. This spring, a pair seems to have taken residence in one of my bird houses.

Sorry it's a bit fuzzy, but the photo was taken from inside a window on the second story of my home, with a long zoom.

That is so cool. They are great little birds! When I worked in GA we had tons of them. Watch your car mirrors though. I had one that would fight with his reflection in the mirror and the window! Had to cover the mirrors with grocery bags to keep the poop footprints off the glass! He stopped after a week or two. :D

Really! :o I'll have to keep an eye out for that. :D

I'm trying to figure out if they are still nest building or have eggs yet. The window is in the room where my hosta seedlings are and I have a little work table under the window, so now I have more incentive to spend time in there!

I would so love to have a nesing box but I would worry to death about predators and feel sooo responsible if something bad happened!
