They surely are busy little guys aren't they! I think last year or the year before are the 1st time we saw them in are yard. We've fed birds for over 25 yrs year round till this last winter :(

Thanks! You just have to start paying attention and see what is right there in front of you. Of course, alot of them come and go with the seasons. I now have 60 birds ID'd on my list just from walking in my little half mile circle! :P

It does help that I am in a somewhat rural area with lots wooded areas around, in the neighborhood and the area in general.

Pic from today- out under my tree

Well, there are at least 2 pairs in 2 locations, unfortunately not my property! They like dense shrubs and I have none of those. In fact I have no shrubs at all. :???:

1 pair is at my neighbor's that lives right behind me and the other pair at neighbor's that is caddy-corner(sp?) across the road from the back of our house. That is where a pair nested last year also. Maybe the same birds. I saw them gathering leaves today and taking them into the shrubs!

They come to my yard to eat. They brought the fledgelings last year. So maybe some little thrashers here in a 2-3 weeks!

Do you really think the neighbors would mind you stalking around their bushes with a camera? I mean, you're a nice person, they wouldn't care!

I'll see what I can work out!

In the mean time pics from yesterday, okay! DH is tired of getting fussed at for not getting the camera and taking a pic if certain birds show up while I am unavailable. I do allow him to touch the camera under these circumstances. So these shots were taken by him.

This bird is so inquisitive, yet quietly unavailable to for pics for me! He never stays near when I'm out. Maybe I'm just not out enough! :D THe others bug me when I'm out if the feeder isn't filled, they follow me around yacking up a storm~ :D

Most of these were taken through our back window. It's a great view!

I got this one this morning. It is sitting on the wire just above the shrub the are nesting in across the road from our backyard. Then it came over to our tree while I was outside.
