This squirrel has such a personality! I call him Aussie because his ears are kind of fuzzy and remind me of a Kaola (sp) Bear.

Awww, fuzzzy rat DH bought a new BB gun to chase the squirrels away from the feeders, and for me to use to exterminate gophers , anyway he has pinged a few squirrels ( he is not killing them or really even trying to hit them at all, just scare them away but occassionally he is a better shot than he thinks ) and the squirrels are getting smart They listen for him to pump the gun and they run around the back side of the tree and hide I did not believe him until he showed me last night! A squirrel came down the tree towards the feeder, DH had the gun and started pumping it and the squirell just stopped dead in his tracks, looked towards the house and ran around to the back of the tree. You could see his little head peeking around the tree to see if DH was on the porch or not... I though I was going to fall over laughing... such smart critters

And then there's my mother who has one that for the last few years, comes up the house and raps for nuts! I swear to you! He hangs off the roof to look in the windows to see where she is! I'm not certain if he could find out which room was her bedroom he wouldn't be waking her up mornings for breakfast! These guys are NOT dumb!

We have a couple of them that will come up and knock on the patio door if there is nothing out.
