Spider, we have the Pileated Woodpeckers too! I have yet to get a photo of one though. That is the bird I am dying to get a pic of!
They don't seem to go at quite the non-stop rate that the flicker do when they first show up. It has been 3 weeks of torture here with all of them. It seems now that they are mated up and getting ready to nest the do shutup for periods of time!

Dear, how close are you when you get these nesting pics? Very nice pics! Loverly! I think I need to come for a camp out in your back yard!

This is located in the little woods across the road and I was about 8- 10 feet away.
