Spring In The Air...Evil In My Yard!

Yes, the little darlin' is back and running amuck and raiding any bird food within it's reach, now that warm weather has arrived.

I warn you, don't be fooled by that cute little face. We are not dealing with Chip 'N Dale here! If you look closely you will notice Evil is minus part of his tail. We found it in the backyard...not sure how it got there though

How much corn does this little thing need, I ask! Saturday I watched him clean off 2 cobs. I put these out for the crow & jays. The jays now eat the ones on the holders I put out for the squirrels. Geesh!

These are from last week

Now on occasion I put fruit out for the raccoons. Grapes are a favorite. If they don't come I just leave them out. I know in a night or two they will come and eat them.

Guess who else thought they were pretty tasty too!

He also must have heard about the Olympics coming up this summer. He has been working on his routine.

It's a wonder they can walk when they are just little piggies! Yes, they and the squirrel we have, have been wrecking havoc with the feeders this year! Most likely b/c of all the d@mned development going on, on all 4 sides of us! I WANT OUT! Anyone want a house and couple acres? :(

LOL We have had at least 1 chipmunk on our tiny tiny lot for 20 years now...one year we even had 11....they use to live under our garage and mom had a ton of kids. They have always been polite and well mannered little bugs. I have moved the bird feeders out away from the patio so they can't reach it. But we have had a bunny snce the fall and he is the one I am worried about. He has already snipped some of my tulips and I'm afraid he is going to go after my hostas. I guess I shouldn't of fed him over the winter eh, but he was girdling my trees...and with five ft of snow outside I really couldn't stop him. I think I'm going to put signs up that say.... EAT THIS....... and DON'T EAT THIS! He is cute though.

Love those cheeks   I miss the little guys  I don't have them in my part of Oklahoma.
Claudia I think you are just going to have to give in and figure out how to live with that little Chippie
Maybe you can tame him
I do know how you feel though, I have a squirrel that just will not leave my feeders alone  DH has even shot him in the butt with a bb gun! He only pumped it twice so it was not enough power to hurt him,, but he felt it, and he still comes around and gets to the feeder  He can empty it in a day.....
