Not much different than Illinois... at least in my backyard...
At the pond
This one I took this morning
And pictures of the birds I've caught so far, many the same as Illinois
A male house finch
A dove
This mockingbird is a permanent resident of my yard... he never leaves! The day we pulled in with the moving truck, there he was and I was soooo excited. Bless his heart, he sings his little heart out all the time... he's always making noise... even at 3:00 a.m.
A Bewick's wren. These little ones are so cute. I have about six or eight of them and its so fun to see them chatter and play together.
And my mystery bird. A female tree swallow? Or something else? I need to unpack my books so I can find my bird book!
