New Photos OMG!

I was SO close to the Sandhill Cranes! They were within reach. Almost burnt my cheeseburger, instead one Sandhill got a piece

The white bird is named Vanessa, I was looking for the big alligator when I came around the corner to find 2 men fishing and the bird standing there watching them. :)

Getting the shots of the Sandhills was worth the 3 fire ant bites/stings I got on my toes! Sandhill cranes migrate through the center of the US, so you guys probably do have them. I saw and heard them frequently in MN, but you couldn't get anywhere near them! The second to last photo may make it into the state fair next year (it's in Ferbuary here).

They migrate over where we live so we do see them fly over by the 100's. They do stop over at the lake sometimes. Maybe I can find them this fall!
