Christian The Lion

When I saw this on the Today show last week it just blew me away. I read the book and saw the movie Born Free when I was in 5th-6th grade and really connected with it. I so admired Joy & George Adamson and the work they did.
I cry every time I see this video

Me too. I saw the video on the Today show also, sat there and watched it twice and cried.
But how cool is it that he remembered them!!! and the smiles on their faces... just very humbling

Wow! My speakers aren't working, so I didn't get to hear it, but my heart was scared and happy at the same time, fearing the worse and overjoyed at the immeasuable love that was seen! How strange the female was friendly, huh? So weird! Was this in a wildlife preserve, or in the actually wild? VERY cool, thanks for sharing it!

George Adamson had a compund at the Kora National Reserve which is where he rehabilitated Christian. During the course of establishing Christian in a pride there were a few mishaps, but he eventually became the leader of a pride that located in the area around Kora. But it was in the wild.
