Mr. Halftail...aka Evil!

Post by nanny_56 »

Yep, he/she is still here living under my front walk! But we did give him the new name when during the course of the summer it somehow lost part of its tail. Not sure if he had a run in with Buddy our dog or some other critter.

His hole is off to the left on the side of the walk. This is the area where I put my daylily babies which it hasn't bothered. However I put some composted horse manure in there and he did not seem to thrilled with that!!

Here you can see what is left of it's tail

Still just sits out there like the happy pet chippy, waiting for it's owner to come home!

They're adorable little critters, but the sure can be destructive. My outdoor cats seem to keep them under control in my yard.

We have lots of feral kitties around here. I have seen them catch chippies over in the woods. That maybe what happened to it's tail. I made a deal with one kitty it can slepp under /lay one my porch if it keeps the rodents under control! It has done excellent with the mice/voles situation.

Sittin' in the drive way
