While in Florida, we visited Homosassa Springs Park. What a nice little place to visit. We were there on a day that wasn't especially warm, so the traffic flow was limited. It was great. A nice little walking area with lots of well kept cages/free roaming areas. Even my husband was OK with this walking adventure. CHAR

Are you still in the area? If so Lowrey Park Zoo has a river ride that takes you down the Hillsborough river. There is a spring area where the manatees hang out in cool weather.

the area is Central, west coast, We stayed in the Port Richie area.

During one of my walks in a small local State Park, I noticed that even though the park was nice, and the path was well kept, and it was secluded, there were no birds singing. I saw no birds at all. Must be this area had no songbirds on this particular day.
