I wasn't very far away from them, maybe 10-15'? A sedan and a half, lol.

I love the details of the feathers. We have a pair of sandhill cranes where I live, but they come up from the swamp to play beside the lake, and it is too far away for good pics. They are usually there early in the a.m. when it is foggy. I did see them one spring while the ice was still solid on the lake. They were playing with a leaf. Tossing it into the air and chasing it. I figured it was a mating ritual. CHAR
