Hallson Gardens

I took this photo of the regal, proud Great Blue Heron and I walked away.



As I got past his location he decided to fly off. I heard crash, splash, crash crash. I looked back to see him take a nose dive into the water! He got his feet tangled in the vegitation you see in the first shot. He did manage to get into the air, did a half circle and landed back to the spot where I stood to get the first shot. I snuck back to get this shot:



Shaking the water off, lol.

And back to normal.



I feel bad for him, but it was pretty funny! Kind of like when the cat does something stupid and trys to save face.

Looks like he ended up okay!

I was worried you were going to get a shot of an alligator in the same frame...

Nice photos, BTW!

Oh, the alligator was at the other end of the lake. He was the photo before the heron, lol.

That's just too I see Great Blue Heron's, even in my yard, but I have never seen an alligator.

Lol, thanks guys! I love the second picture, even with the head blurry, the body feathers came out nice and you can see the droplets hit the water. I just wish he had decided to go before I left the first spot! That would have been a great sequence for the continuous feature on the camera!
