Osprey....(no pic, sorry)

On vacation in Florida and found there is an Osprey nest about 1/4 mile away. We went down today to check it out and saw one of the pair fly in with some food. Awesome! Trying to get a picture, but I didn't bring my bigger camera as I didn't want to lug it around. Now I'm a little sorry I didn't. Oh well, guess I'll just sit and enjoy. I'm going to try with my other camera, but I'm not convinced I'll get much.

Hey, welcome to Florida! I had an ospray fly right over the car the other day with a fish he was having trouble with. I could see the fish's eye he was that close! Too bad I was driving and couldn't get a shot, lol. Down where the Manatees gather there is an ospray nest pretty close to the road and it's lower than most. What part of FL are you in? Manatees are probably still gathering at the TECO power plant near Apollo beach, it was very entertaining to go visit.

We're down in Sarasota (Siesta Key Beach actually)....little colder than I hoped for, but since there is snow on the ground at home I can't complain.
