Bird ID?

Post by HostaDesigner »

We've had this bird every now and then for a couple years. Any idea what it is?

Larger than a sparrow, smaller than a cardinal.

Rose breasted Grosbeak hen. About 8" long? Have you seen the male? You may in a few days if I'm right. I think I had this bird at my feeders in MN, then saw the male. :)

Of course! We have 4 males around, but I never made the mental connection that these were the females. Thanks!
