Look what was found in the ' Brug House' this AM. Anyone have an idea of what it is?

I think it is a One-eyed Sphinx moth (Smerinthus cerisyi)

Thank you!! I am awaiting for the butterfly and moth folks notification as to what they think. I've been looking at moths all
afternoon!! How exciting as they don't have this one listed for our area.

Here is a link with a map of the range of this animal. It is kinda in your area.You may get to register a new sighting and add more blue to that map.

Cool. I have seen them at my house, but I did not know what they were called. They are very different looking and the sphinx name suits them.
