Red-shouldered Hawk
Come across this beautiful bird on my after dinner walk one night this past week.

Wow, he's a lot more tan than mine! Lol. He really let you get pretty close. What camera are you using these days? I keep getting blurry photos of these guys - unless they are only 10 feet away.

Hi!
I am still using the Fuji 8000. I find the red-shoulders to be fairly tolerant as long as you move in slow. I was just below the pole standing in the road so at an angle down from him to me wa probably about 20ft. I have been on a real long streak of getting only bad shots and my vertigo has been acting up so that sure doesn't help me out much! Their coloring does seem to make them harder to focus on. Most of mine look like this one. This when it flew over to a nearby tree.
