Carolina Wren & Friends

I just love this little bird and I wish it came around more often to the yard. It is usually only during the winter that they will come and get peanuts or suet from the feeders.

I have not had near the number of different types of sparrows this winter. But once the snow started I Have had lots of American Tree Sparrows this year!

I have been trying to find Horned Larks this winter. I have a couple of possible sightings but nothing for sure. I did find all these Canada Geese in a cornfield yesterday.

I particpated In the Great Backyard Bird Count last weekend and this Yellow-bellied Sapsucker showed up so I could count it!
I counted 304 birds and 21 species just in my backyard!

The Carolina Wren is one of my favorites...love to listen to it. :D
