Hawk on Tower Cam

Post by Ginger »

One of our news stations caught video of this hawk resting on one of their news towers. Most of the towers in this area have video cameras installed. I am not sure what kind of hawk, I think it is a young redtail, but I can't see the back of the tail well enough to be sure.

We have several Cooper's Hawks that nest 2 doors down. Last summer, I snapped a pic of 3 of them sitting on the top of my daughter's playset. They were all staring intently at my garden. I don't think they were there for the view.... maybe the mice and/or squirrels.

Pretty neat to capture that on video. That's a long way up in my opinion.
