Daylillies from Chris

Post by Roxanne »

Hi! Last year Chris had a sale on some Daylilies that He said weren't true to name. (I can't remember what they were supposed to be) I saw the pic, and thought they would look great planted in front of a Diablo Ninebark I had just put in the previous week. Well, they started to bloom today, and the pic doesn't do it justice! It looks great! The purple in the lillies matches the purple of the ninebark. :P

I think that may be Edge Ahead. I'll post a pic of mine a little later and you can compare them :P :P

It could be ALWAYS AFTERNOON. From the photos I've seen, EDGE AHEAD is lighter in color. (I don't have either, so just going by photos.)

go to Tinker's Forum, go to the database, and search on ALWAYS AFTERNOON. Yours and the ones in those photos look like kissing cousins!

Roxanne,
Check the throat color. Always Afternoon has more of a green throat and Edge Ahead is more yellow. :P :P

well, I went and looked. The center is green, not yellow. But...not as green as Lucy's pic! It doesn't matter, anyway. I like them, no matter what they are!
