Awesome Bob FFO, Gilded Pagoda clump, and one more
My first flower on the awesome AWESOME BOB. Alas, it's been raining today, and Bob's been very unhappy. Poor guy got soaked.
I had to show GILDED PAGODA again. This top-branched daylily comes into its own when in clump strength I think.
And then there's CULTURE SHOCK, a little guy by Piotrowski. Another one I have difficulty photographing. The color is an "orange yellow blend" with a yellow throat. Other stats: a diploid, 3.5" bloom on a 3'-tall scape. Definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but I love the little guys on the tall scapes. And you just can't have too much orange.

OC says that
you can't ever show a pretty flower too MANY times. Nice photos. OC

OMG I am insanely jealous! Awesome Bob is one that I drooled over this past winter and bought a pile of seeds to start from.... of course, I am even more sad that I can't come over and pinch a little pollen to start my own crosses... but I don't have any blooms left
I went out and doused the few late bloomers that still have tiny scapes with Deer Off... in the rain, I don't know if it will do any good, but I didn;t really have any choice
Congrats on an awesome flower!

SE -- a "sev"? No, it's listed as a dormant. From what I understand, AWESOME BOB is a very slow grower, hence the high price. I bought AB and a rather large bunch of other daylilies from Woodside Nursery during one of two trips at the end of April/beginning of May, and AB is the only one not to have put out even an inkling of another fan.
