Spring has arrived in the Tundra, off topic by the way

Post by Ed_B »

In the 50's by day, 20's at night, it's springtime in Wisonsin
I see buckets hanging on the Suger Maples, all the birds a singing, even a woodpecker drumming.
Life is good, except for all the empty daylily seed pots.

I can't believe my Daffodil's still haven't bloomed. Maybe tomorrow .

tma you are treating poor Ed just horrible. I wish I had pictures to add but for some reason, I don't ever take pics in the spring.

My daffs are blooming, my tulips have buds, one rhodendron is blooming, a hot pink color, the pulmonaria are blooming. the hellobores have bloomed but I always miss those and my redbuds are about to break out full force. Right now the buds are almost open and the branches look like they are a glowing pink.

I'm sure there are more things blooming but I think Ed has suffered enough.

You folks are killing me. :x

I walked around the yard today a few more crocus pics, and some oh so muddy feet.

Soon :(

Snow again

Post by Liselotte »

Ed, stop complaining!
we had another 8 inches of snow dumped on us Thursday, and with temps in the twenties, I could scream!

Yesterday the snow melted fast with the exception of old stuff in the shade. Unfortunately the vole damage to 4 seedling beds and Japanese Iris is enough to send me into a deep depression. Guess what, we will get more snow tomorrow. But then, only a fool is trying to grow Hemerocallis at a ski resort with 5 months of snow cover, this year 6! :bd: :bd: :bd:
But grin and bear it    is my motto!

Hi Liselotte

You win hands down, the weather man is talking high 60's daytime with low's in the 40's at night for the next 7 days or more.

I am in tundra heaven.

I will be putting in my first row of snowpeas, radishes, & kohlrabi's in the next few days.

life is good again!

Ed
