Some seedlings of mine...

Post by John »

CHINESE TEMPLE FLOWER has a wonderful applique throat, it is not so attractive in this seedling.

RED-EYED SHOCKER has a HUGE red eye, not apparent in its seedling shown here, neither does BAS RELIEF gene for sculpture show itself. It is weird, and sortr of greenish-peach.

I had expected something greener and more special from GREEN MYSTIQUE seedling.

The bicolor was unexpected... bronze color... where are the FORESTLAKE RAGAMUFFIN teeth?

LACE COOKIES X SPINY SEA URCHIN--- Okay, I LOVE this one, and hope that cool-looking edge shows some tendrils and teeth should the sun ever shine!

Saved my favorite for last, MYSTICAL RAINBOW X BLUE-EYED BUTTERFLY. Great multi-coclor eyezone, on a nice buff-peach self. Fragrant. Diamond-dusted.

My favorite is MYSTICAL RAINBOW X BLUE-EYED BUTTERFLY also
Your quest for teeth reminds me of my attempts using Mort Morss, didn't happen so far

I wonder as the seedlings mature for a few more years if they will show better,
I like the potential of the pie crust edge with the Lace CookiesXSpiny SeaUrchin cross

Yep - the last 2 are my favorites, also. I love those patterned eyes and hope to get into playing with a few this year.

As Ed mentioned, I wonder if the teeth would show up with maturity? are those all FFOs?

Yes, all FFO's. I've been told teeth need SUN and heat to show. We've had almost no SUN at all, but plenty of heat and humidity. I feel better knowing that MORT MORSS was VERY toothy last year, but shows none this year: therefore, my seedlings MAY display teeth if the conditions are right.
