S- B-16-17-07 {(Homeplace Cherry Face x Darlene Kay) X (Tar and Feathers x Soul of Fire)}

I got the seeds from Paul Ancoin in 2007, S- B-16-17-07 is the first one to bloom
6 1/2" bloom, 29" scape
huge orange, with a very large red eye

John we are on the same page, Sherm offered to send me some pollen but I do believe they will have overlapping bloom times

S-280, weather? or being moved? or being divided?, what I see is low bud count with little branching, this is not what I experienced over the past few years.
Will let you know more later in the season

Ed, I've seen myself, and heard from daylily people all over the country, that everyone is seeing no branching and very low bud counts. In my area, we are attributing it to the 50+ days of rain: the daylilies are performing as if grown in shade, with scanty flowering.

I'm not one of those people who buy into the party liine about branching and bud count anyway...I'm all about the pretty faces. Yes, daylilies are capable of giving us both, I know...
