Blooming November 4!!

Post by nanny_56 »

I received Girls Gone Wild back last spring. She was growing well but showed no signs of blooming. I figured I would have to wait until next year to get a glimpse of what it looked like. Well much to my surprise in September it sent up a scape. Unfortunately the blooms opened on rainy days so it was not too pretty.

Though still not too pretty since we have been in the 30's overnight the last several nights, I have 3 buds that opened up and ANYTHING in November looks good to me!!

That would be a lovely sight any time of year! Pretty colors!

So what's not pretty?? Looks nice. My monitor is messing with the colors, is it pink or purple? I'm guessing more purple?

I would say it tends more towards pink actually....but it is one of those that sits right on the border between the two. :o

Beautiful.
You are not far from me. All my daylilies have finnished their blooms weeks ago.
Does this variety always bloom this late ?
Never before have so few with so much promised to take away so much from so many and then laugh their asses off as the so many with so little vote for the so few with so much.

No this one should not be blooming now. It came from Florida so it is just off of its regular cycle. I am sure next year it will bloom earlier at a more normal time! Sure is nice having blooms now tho! I am adding some late ones to extend the season a bit...I hope!
