The season starts

Post by Ed_B »

The first seedlings of 2013 started on 7-6-13
Only 3 so far, 2 maiden
S-16-P-a {S-414 (Annette's Magic x Wonder Of It All) X Lemon Fringed Pastel} tangerine polychrome, this one is 5 years old, second year here. "one of my seed buyers sent a piece back to me to use for hybridizing"

D-91 {SJ7 (Annette's Magic x Wonder Of It All) X Lemon Fringed Pastel} This is another polychrome, yellow with peach highlights
Maiden bloom, 7-7-13
The two bottom petals on this one have a natural split with ruffles all the way through split, I have never seen this before.
When I first saw it I thought they were torn, close inspection proved that not to be the case.

C-97 (Francois Verhaert X Bama Girl Tee) maiden bloom was this morning 7-8-13
This was full open at 7AM, and even after getting pounded by 2 inches of rain it still held it's own
Pic's from this moring and again this afternoon
