Dead chicks.....and their mommies too!

Post by patsue53 »

I had 2 pots of Hens n Chicks and neither of them made it through the winter. :( The one pot did just fine last winter! (The other one was new last spring.)
I left them on the patio same as the winter before.

I had planned to follow Mike's instructions and make a living wreath using Semps and sedums this year but now I'm afraid of going to all the trouble and expense just to have them die over the winter. What should I have done with these poor babies? :bawl:

{{Aww}} I don't know. Mine stayed perky even under the snow, but are in the ground. Sad to lose them.

When I lose them that way it is usually from being too wet too long. Sometimes I have potted them in too heavy a soil that holds too much moisture.
