Frozen aloe vera dying?

Post by aloeminator »

Hi!

We have a aloe vera wich we unfortunately left outside when it was freezing temprature. We took it inside but it looks rather sad. The leaves are hanging down and are a bit yellowish. We are afarid that we might have killed it, but would like to see if there's any possibility to save it. We actually cut of some of the leaves that looked to bad. They youngest leaves in the middle are actually standing up. We are so greatful if anybody could help us to save the plant or at least give us some idea where the plant is at. Many thanks!!!

If you can gently lift it from the soil, you'll be able to see if the roots are still viable. Sounds like you still have some good leaves on it. I suspect they would have frozen before the root system.

Good advice from OED. I think it will be fine, if there are still some leaves on it showing green. I would be careful not to overwater especially now.
