What do you think of this?

Post by Herb »

I just saw this advertised in a newspaper. It's described as a "Japanese Pagoda Fountain" & the price, including tax would be well over $200.

Is there, in Japan, any such thing as a Pagoda Fountain? It doesn't look (to me) to be authentically Japanese - and it certainly doesn't look like any fountain (or Pagoda) that I've ever seen anwhere.

What's your opinion of it?

Homebase, one of the DIY stores in UK do something really similar and it lights up! :-?

When confronted by a difficult problem, you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question, "How would the Lone Ranger handle this?"

Hi,
I have seen them in Homebase and the top one of them had been broken to reveal that it is made of something like fibre glass because between the thickness of the top and bottom it was hollow.

I have never seen anything like this in Japan - it does not look very authentic to me. As others have said I have seen similiar lanterns etc in DIY shops here in the UK
