New Japanese Maples

I have just taken delivery of 5 new Japanese Maples from Esvelds in Holland
They have arrived in reasonable condition and look healthy enough

What are your plans for those little beauts?
Have you ordered from that company before?
BTW…you have a magnificent garden. I like to stop by your site periodically for inspiration.

Planted the first two today .... Hemelrijk (which is the largest one I bought) and Kinran
I added some leaf mould and bone meal to the soil and planted them fairly shallow, then mulched with more leaf mould. Watered well in. They should be fine :)

i take it you planted them in the ground to fatten up the trunk, or did ya put them in a pot. i'm not sure if you doing bonsai, or just a maple collector. sorry but i'm new here.

Most of my Japanese Maples are planted in the ground
I only have a very few in pots, and even they get planted out eventually :)

i don't have the room to plant my maples in the ground. i have over 200 maples to date. all are for bonsai, and resale too. evil bay this summer.
