Latest photo of my PINUS PARVIFLORA

Post by George Nesfield »

Hi,
I am still continuing to pull the pads into place and last year took a branch off to get the balance of the pads right, I shall be finger prunning the candles in the next couple of weeks as they are now starting to show.
George.

BRAVO GEORGE!!!
I hope someday I can make my Pinus parviflora ‘glauca’ look half as good as that. My PPG is finally producing little baby candles. They came out a lot later than my Pinus thunbergii. The PT grew large candles weeks ago. I'm just glad they made it through the winter. Keep us posted with your awesome pruning.
Thanks,
J

George thats beautiful. My pinus parviflora is about a foot tall at the moment. Not sure which one it is but it has needles on the trunk! will they fall off eventually? it also has candles on. I want to leave it to settle and try shaping it next year.

Regards Colin
When confronted by a difficult problem, you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question, "How would the Lone Ranger handle this?"

@ Colin
Hi there, my name is Lorenzo, from Italy.
Child pinus has needles on the trunk, and they fall off in the future. At this moment, trunk is just one branch. The candles will turn into new branches.
