Point of view

Post by Herb »

A year or two ago, the Journal of Japanese Gardening recommended that if you're going to sit in your garden, you should arrange the bench or other seating in the place where you feel you're getting a view that you like.

This afternoon, I carried my afternoon mug of tea into the garden and wanted to sit down with it in the shade. There was a shaded spot by the side of the house, right where my wife grows herbs, so I put a chair there & sat down to enjoy the tea.

While I was drinking the tea, I liked the view, & thought I'd share it, so I got the camera & took these three pictures.

That really is a beautiful and serene spot. You have done a wonderful job with it.

Correction!

Thanks for the nice comments, but I'm afraid there was a mistake. Yesterday my monitor died suddenly & when I installed a spare it was suddenly obvious that the colors in the picture I'd originally linked to were far too saturated & contrasty - doubtless caused by the old monitor being at death's door!

So, I've substituted a new version. Here it is -

(I've deleted the bad version)
