Hi Marlin,
Done it, if the branches will not bend down try this method you tie the bamboo pole to the trunk and then bring the branches down and wire them to the pole if the branches are to thick and sort of set you will have to try to do it over a long period gradually bringing them down a little at a time.the reason that you bring the branches down is to make the pine appear older than it actually is because with age the branches start to lower, I really think that you have done very well with your effort so far, brilliant.

So, How would you tie the bamboo to the trunk? Wouldn't the rope pull on the trunk causing damage?
