Hi George,
Are you really moving? Please tell me it isn’t so.

Sorry if you have already discussed this, but I just watched the BBC video on your website and I’m shocked. What will you do with that brilliant Pinus parviflora? I hope you can take it with you.

Hi,
Yes, I am afraid it is so, as that now I am 75 years old and I cannot see me swinging from branch to branch when I get to eighty, so we intend to move a little nearer our daughter, and as most of my acers and a few of my junipers are in large pots and also all my bonsai over sixty at the last count we will be able to take them with us, but the Pinus Parviflora will have to stay, also I will have to dig another pond as I cannot leave all my koi behind especially Big Lill who is now part of the family after swimming in my pond for over thirty years.
But it will also be a new beggining a new pond a new Japanese garden but of course a little bit smaller than now,
We have had a few viewings of the bunglow but the people who have been are amazed at the garden BUT are frightened to take it on.
SO MAYBE WE WILL STILL BE HERE WHEN I AM NINETY
I will manage somehow as at the moment I am in good health having just finished earlier on in the year a twenty session radio therapy course for prostate cancer and I am now on an injection every three months and the specialist dosn't want to see me for six months so I am really feeling great

Hi George,
I am glad you are feeling great. Our health really puts things into proper perspective. Taking care of yourself is most important, so I understand why you would want to simplify. It sounds like the right thing to do. I can’t believe you’ve had Big Lill for over 30 years. I still have two turtles for almost 25 years. I think they will outlive me someday. LOL! Starting new will be an exciting adventure. I wish you the best with this new chapter of your life. BTW…I enjoyed the video footage of your garden. I wish I could see it in person someday.

George! So sorry to hear about your health problems of late, but will keep you in good thoughts and prayers as you make this transition in your life to simplify things.

Hoping you get what you need from the present home to make the new one as comfortable as you have it now.

30 years!

I had no idea they lived that long! Fantastic you can take it with you.

Keep us posted as to your move.

Hi,
Thanks for your kind comments but I think it will be next year maybe that we move as I said earlier the prospective buyers love the bungalow and love the Japanese garden but are frightened to take the garden on so who knows if nobody buys it, I will have to stay ,we will just have to wait and see what ever happens I will still be posting here to my many friends.
