Japanese style Pond

Post by Herb »

Glendale Gardens in Victoria, B.C. arranged a lecture by Robin Hopper today (21 Oct 2007) which I attended, on the topic of Japanese Gardens, followed by a tour of the gardens surrounding the Chosin Pottery studio in Metchosin, near Victoria. You can read more about the pottery & gardens and about Robin and Judi, who run it, and who are both renowned ceramics artists, here - www.chosinpottery.ca

While on the tour I got a couple of pictures of their Japanese style pond. Everybody on the tour wished they could have it in their own gardens. The pictures are both at PBase: this is the first one and the second one - a panorama of the pond - is the next one in the same album

More Acers for George

Post by Herb »

George,

There are two ponds there - one a bit higher than the first one I showed. What you said about liking the Acers, made me feel I've got to show you this one of the upper pond too. It's been very much compressed to comply with the 80kb ceiling, but I think the colours may come across O.K.
