I got this on eBay years ago before I ever knew how to take care of a PCI. I can't believe it lived. This year is the best it has ever looked. By biggest complaint about it is that the foliage and bloomstalks all want to flop over - a habit that allows them to out-compete grass in their native habitat, but annoying in the garden. Still, gorgeous flower. I'll keep it to hybridize with.

It may be floppy but it's very pretty! Thanks for sharing.

Mike, this PCI is just lovely! Winter has been too cold and there were some losses. No sign of scapes yet. The next cold front is on the way and we are supposed to get snow again on Sunday!

Hey Mike! One of the PCIs you gave me when I was at your house digging is in bloom, it's the most gorgeous mauve (and I'm not normally a mauve kinda person). My purple and yellow ones are blooming also. I'll try to get a pix of it tomorrow to post. Thanks again for sharing with me
